What is Life Coaching?
Life Coaching is a process of working with a life coach to create more clarity, balance, results and serenity in your life. Life coaching involves working with a life coach really understands who you are inside, what motivates you, what moves you, what limits you and basically learns to understand how to help you create the kind of quality life you desire. Life coaching is for individuals who are seriously committed to wanting more out of life, wanting more for themselves and/or others and who are not willing to settle for less than they deserve anymore. Life coaching is about growing into the person you need to be in order to achieve and create the life of results, balance and serenity that you so rightfully deserve. It is also important to realize that although you will achieve the results you want by working with a life coach and provided you take action, and although life coaching is about "doing", it is also about creating life balance in the various areas of life and about enjoying the process of "doing" and "being".

What areas of life does Life Coaching cover?
Since "Life" itself involves every area whether it is relationships, intimacy, finances, career, personal growth, spirituality, fun or health, Life Coaching covers all those areas. The beauty about Life Coaching is the coaching process and coaching sessions go wherever you want it go, at whatever speed you want it to go at and most importantly wherever you feel safe going.

What is appropriate to talk about in life coaching?
Whatever you feel safe talking about and getting coaching about, is appropriate to talk about in life coaching. In the Serenity Life Coaching Model we believe that every aspect, every bit of each individual exists for some form of higher learning. Therefore, we learn to embrace everything enough so that we can look at it with eyes of compassion and wisdom. When we can do that with every aspect of ourselves, with every part of ourselves, then the real growth begins and then you begin to create all that you want in life with more fluidity and balanced flow.

How is Life Coaching different from counseling or other forms of therapy?
Life Coaching is about helping you realize that all the inner resources you need to create the life you want and to become the person you want to be are already inside of you. Life Coaching is about realizing that there is nothing to "fix". Life Coaching is about choosing what you would like to keep in your life and what you would like to let go of. Life Coaching is about creating more choices in your life so that you always feel and know you have many ways to accomplish anything you want instead of feeling stuck. Life coaching is about helping you use whatever resources you need to move forward and create what you want, and in doing that, in moving forward, you find whatever healing you need and whatever growth processes you need taking place naturally and easily.
The easiest and most simplistic way to distinguish between counseling or therapy and life coaching is to say that life coaching focuses even more on forward movement and action rather than talking about past experiences and life's dramas as much. Although past experiences and what we encounter in life does affect who and how we are, life coaching is more about using the learnings from those experiences to move forward and not about fixing and healing those past experiences.

How does life coaching generally work?
Life Coaching generally involves 3 phone coaching sessions lasting about 30 minutes each every month. If you are in Mexico City and sign up for a Serenity Life Coaching Membership Program then you will have to advantage of choosing face to face sessions too if you wish. But generally, each life coaching session will revolve around picking a specific area of life that you would like to make major progress in and then seeing what needs to be done and can be done to make that happen for you. There is a common and well known saying in life coaching which is "The most valuable coaching usually tends to happen between the coaching sessions". What that means is that, the real growth and benefits, are derived after each coaching session when you actually begin to take action on whatever plan of action that was talked about and you were coached on.

Do I need Life Coaching?
I believe that anyone serious about getting and creating a life of results, balance and serenity or anyone committed to achieving their dreams can naturally, greatly benefit from working with a life coach. Even though you're not a super goal oriented person and instead is someone who just wants to "be happy", you will still benefit greatly from life coaching. Why? Because being able to see and have multiple perspectives about any issue, experience or challenge in life is the key to personal power, balance and a sense of freedom. And needless to say, life coaching is also about helping you have many perspectives and choices in life.
